A river cuts through a rock, not because of its power, but because of its persistence.
And this is the swath you can carve through your life. You need to be a river, bending, sometimes powerful and strong, sometimes just a trickle, but always moving, always going forward, with an unstoppable life force.
Every day when you get up with determination, get your river flowing and make your plan for the day, you start to make your river a rushing cascade.
If we make goals every day, to do a certain amount of exercise, to meet our calorie goals, to have enough protein and limit our sugar intake, we can cut our river through rocks.
One of my secrets, that always gets my river flowing as a raging torrent, is my regular breakfast, my clean and wholefood home produced meals, and my protein shake after my exercise.
I pretty much know every day what I am going to be eating. I deviate from that rarely, and make sensible adjustments to my next meal if I overindulge from time to time.
We can all be that river. If we follow our goals, achieve them every day, get moving with exercise every day, we can become a wild river, making a beautiful swath through life, proud and refreshing and powerful.
